Information we collect
Account information includes a name, email address, account role, password hash, verification status, and login-related timestamps.
Classroom information may include class membership, assignment answers, quiz results, handwriting submissions, and teacher feedback.
Security and operations information may include session records, temporary rate-limit records, and technical error information. Passwords and email reset tokens are not stored in readable form.
How information is used
Information is used to create and secure accounts, connect students with classrooms, deliver assignments, save submissions, provide teacher feedback, send verification and password-reset emails, prevent abuse, and operate the website.
Who can see classroom information
Teachers can see the names, email addresses, membership details, submissions, scores, and feedback records of students who joined their classrooms. Students can see their own account, classes, assignments, submissions, and feedback. Classroom information is not posted publicly.
Service providers
The website relies on service providers for hosting, database storage, session storage, domain services, and email delivery. These providers process information only as needed to operate their services.
If aggregate public-site analytics are enabled, Amharic Classroom uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page views and site performance. The analytics integration is limited to public pages and is not loaded inside student or teacher dashboards.
Children and supervised classroom use
Children under 13 should not create an account unless a parent, guardian, or authorized school or church program has approved the use. Teachers and church leaders should contact Amharic Classroom before enrolling younger children so that notice, consent, and data-handling expectations can be arranged.
Retention and deletion
Account and classroom information is kept while it is needed to provide the service, maintain classroom records, resolve problems, or protect the website. Temporary verification, reset, session, and rate-limit records expire automatically.
To request access, correction, account deletion, or deletion of student information, email support.amharicclassroom@gmail.com or use the contact form. A teacher, parent, or guardian may be asked to verify their relationship to the affected account before information is changed or deleted.
Security
Amharic Classroom uses password hashing, email verification, protected sessions, access controls, request validation, CSRF protection, and rate limiting. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect passwords and classroom join codes.
